Meet The Founder
Marina Merchant-Dest, 20
I currently make each and every The Finiti shirt by hand in my family home. No mass production here.
Know that when you order from me, I make your shirt with care + intention, usually while sipping on peppermint tea + watching a Disney movie! Thankful for what I do.
Q: How would you describe what you do?
A: I'm the Founder + Sole Seamstress of The Finiti! I also am a freelance portrait photographer and passionate traveler:)
Q: If I asked, "what are you up to?" on any given day, how would you answer?
A: Haha You'll probably can find me sewing, planning my next one way trip, or driving barefoot to the park
Q: What is the 'original intention' for your brand?
A: I intend for my products to support you in merging with the best version of yourself.
Q: Tell us about your family!
A: I have two sisters of which I am the middle child of ( I know. I fulfill the stereotype of breaking the mold). I have my mom and my dad who are separated. My extended family are living in their native countries, the Caribbean and the Czech Republic. Then we have our cute doggy Nessa!
Q: What do you get excited about?
A: hmmm.. definitely sitting outside on the balcony feeling the sun on my face, going to the grocery store, long handwritten letters, going on roadtrips with my friendo’s and window seats on the plane haha

A: Absolutely hahaha! Somethings I avoid are refined sugar and processed foods haha. I will probably run for the bushes...

A: Mhm, totally! One of them is The Surrender Experiment by Michael A. Singer. It really reminds you of how things always happen for a reason and that we do not need to judge situations that happen in our lives.
Q: How would your closest friends describe you?
A: I'd say.. (pause). Ambitious, wise, adventurous, compassionate, brave and maybe even annoying at times haha
Q: What would you say are your absolute core values?
A: Heart-centered authenticity, vitality and universal love.
Q: At the core of everything you do, what are you truly passionate about?
A: I am really passionate about supporting people in merging with the best version of themselves. I like to create tools, ideas and art that allows people to embody that :)
